ICValue’s staff has been drawn from national searches. We seek individuals with experience or interest at the interface of environmental protection and business management, thereby bringing science and business together.

 

Orie L. Loucks, M.Sc.F., Ph.D., President
Dr. Loucks leads business planning at ICValue, Inc. and sets the standards for environmental performance scoring, reviewing all reports for editorial content and quality assurance. Previously Dr. Loucks was an Ohio Eminent Scholar in Applied Ecosystem Studies and Professor of Botany and Zoology, Miami University. He started as a Professor of Botany, University of Wisconsin, in 1962 and became Director of the Institute of Ecology and the Holcomb Research Institute, Butler University, Indianapolis, in 1978, working on global carbon sequestration and air pollutant effects. Dr. Loucks is the author or co-author of five books and some 200 peer-reviewed papers and book chapters. He worked 14 years at Miami University seeking interdisciplinary principles of sustainable development. He served on the National Academy of Sciences Board on Water Science and Technology in the 1980's, and for ten years as a member of the national Board of Governors of The Nature Conservancy.

 

 

Cynthia Sibrel, M.S.
Cynthia Sibrel graduated from Ohio State University with a Master's degree in Natural Resources Public Policy. She has worked on endangered species issues for the Maryland Natural Heritage Program, and wetland mitigation studies at Patuxent Wildlife Research Center in Laurel, Maryland. She also analyzed brownfields and contaminated sediment issues for the Northeast-Midwest Institute in Washington, D.C. and worked on sprawl and transportation issues for the Ohio Chapter of the Sierra Club. At ICValue Cynthia has served as an enviro-performance analyst, and publications and office manager since October 2005.

 

 

Christine Babka , B.Sc., M.Sc., M.Sc.
Ms. Babka has worked 18 years in the chemical and pharmaceutical industries managing environmental compliance programs at the facility, division and corporate levels. Her work included onsite compliance and management system audits of over 100 sites and numerous waste management operations, domestically and internationally. She has two degrees in engineering and one in resource management and obtained training in ISO 14000 management systems. As a senior analyst for ICValue since February 2006, she has taken the lead in using ICValue's enviro-management and technical criteria to rate corporate environmental performance.

 

 

Elinor J. Loucks, B.A.
At ICValue Ms. Loucks assists in business financial planning and report review, and manages all Board of Directors correspondence. A graduate of the University of Toronto, Ms. Loucks worked as a Research Assistant in Sociology at the University of Wisconsin, and as Assistant to the Vice-President for Business Affairs, Butler University, Indianapolis, in the 1980s. In Oxford, Ohio she has served as Secretary for the Friends of Lane Library Board, as a member of the Board and of the Curriculum Committee of the Institute for Learning in Retirement at Miami University and in other volunteer roles in the community.
